Nothing too special about the Lions’ schedule this year

Other than the traditional Thanksgiving game, all of the games are Sunday afternoon. This means we won’t get to see John Madden analyze a Lions game this season (unless they somehow become one of the teams to be deemed in the important Wild Card Saturday game), but then, that’s not really important. What really is important is the seemingly tough schedule they have this year. Outside of their own division and the NFC South (which all NFC North teams will play in that rotating format), they play Arizona, Dallas, and all four teams in the AFC East as well. I’m predicting 6-10 if they play extremely well here, based on how the teams did last season. Of course, I’ll be greatly relieved if this season they actually can wimper into the playoffs at 8-8, but that would be expecting too much too soon, wouldn’t it?
