Oh, and in Navy news “closer” to home

We know where Adam is headed next.

ABOARD USS CARL VINSON (NNS) — The USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) Carrier Strike Group concluded operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and maritime security operations (MSO) in the Persian Gulf June 30. The USS Nimitz (CVN 68) Carrier Strike Group is scheduled to replace the Vinson Strike Group.

As of today, the Nimitz was in the Indian Ocean after a port visit in Malaysia.  As always, I wish my brother the best of luck.  I do need to mail him something for his birthday.  Even if I mailed something tomorrow, it would be belated since his birthday is only five days from today, and obviously mail takes a while to get to a carrier.
